I have been trying (unsuccessfully I might add) to teach my kids geography. Until now I thought it had to be done with boring workbooks or textbooks. How WONDERFUL A Child's Geography looks. Simple, well laid out, engaging and most of all EASY for a busy mom to follow!
After downloading the samples, I KNOW I will buy a copy if I do not win one!
To sum it up in one word--WOW!
Thanks for the chance to try & win a copy.

This looks like such an amazing Geography book!!! I love that it is tailored to the Charlotte Mason format. I am even more impressed by the Christian outlook.
I have been a fan of Jeannie Fulbright for a long, long time and have many of her books. She is a really neat woman, so I like the Geography book even more, since she thinks so highly of it!!
We have been searching for a great geography book to go along with our unit studies on various countries. This looks wonderful.
Thank you very much for the chance to be in the running to win a copy. Y'all are great!!
And have a Fabulous Mother's Day!!!

I like how the program is set up and appreciate that it focuses on ways to reach out to others in the world--not knowing geography for geography's sake.
This is awesome it incorporates science with geography. We do a lot of unit studies during the summer and this would an excellent one. It incorporates storytelling with science and geography all in one.I would love to win this book.
This looks like an engaging way for children to learn about geography.
I know several people that have used and loved this. I have not done much formal geography...and this would be the perfect addition to our homeschooling program!
I love the way Ann writes! Reading these samples made me want to go read to my kids. I would love for my kids to hear her language and the way she describes the world in such a loving, reverent way. It gives me more appreciation of the world we live in.

I have to admit I like the way Ann Voskamp writes to the child without dumbing things down :)
Thanks for the opportunity to win a copy!

this is fantastic! I love the postcards idea, and I was thinking, if you found a couple of kids who were also using it from around the world (homeschooling really is a global community) that your kids could send copies of their postcards to... that'd be fun too! I like that it glorifies God... we always need more curriculum that brings Him to the front our children's minds when they look at the world around us, whether in science, history or geography. EXCELLENT!
Blessings!

What a neat book! I had never looked at A Child's Geography before. I love that it includes both narration questions right in the text and notebooking too. My kids (ages 7, 4, 3, 18mos, and 2 mos) would have so much fun with this. I like that there are ways to reach out to those around us in each chapter. Please enter me in the drawing for a copy.

The samples look excellent! We'd love to win a copy!

This way of studying Geography looks absolutely wonderful. To me, Geography tended to be one tedious lesson after another. I don't want my kids to feel that way about Geography. It has really only been recently that I discovered the excitement and wonder of Geography. I would love to win this and want to thank you for providing it as a giveaway. Three lucky people will be greatly blessed by your generosity!
I've been waiting a long time to get these books, and every time I think I'll be able to snag them something comes up with our homeschooling budget. I would really love to have either of Ann's books in order to bless my children with what appears to be Ann's usual fantastic content. Ann always has a way of blessing anyone who reads her words, while she encourages us to glorify our loving God.
In Him,
Stephanie

This looks like an excellent tool for teaching geography in the multi-age homeschool. I love how many of the projects (in the sample chapters) offer application of a Christian worldview. I will definitely use this in the fall! Thanks for the opportunity to get it as a gift! thefamilywood@gmail.com
This is just what I have been looking for. Something that will engage my children, yet easy for me to use. I love the fact that there is a CD-Rom with it, always an added bonus. This would be a great addition to our homeschool! Thanks for offering it as a drawing!

I appreciate the feel for the book. The optional activies would fill in my studies and the reading is well laid out.
This looks like an awesome way to teach a Christ-centered view of geography! I have been looking for something that would be informative and engaging yet not overwhelming. I am bookmarking the page!
Thank you for bringing this to my attention!
Anne
toms_lady@msn.com
I liked the first three chapters that we downloaded. First of all, they are written from a Christian librarian's perspective, which I think is a real big advantage. The book seems to tie activities into the book so that the student can search online or do something outside to help understand what was discussed in the book.

This is one of the best history books for teaching a multi age group that I have ever seen. We use the Charlotte Mason method of homeschooling, and I love this book. I am actually getting ready to order vol. 2 for the coming school year. Would love to win it!! Thank you for all of your hard work. You guys are great. shellyanglin@gmail.com
I love that A Child's Geography is specifically written to the child but doesn't talk down to them. Reading the sample, I wanted to grab my kids and a blanket and begin studying right away.
Even though we're using a curriculum that teaches geography, I still feel my son's need to learn more. I have looked at A Child's Geography before. I would love to win a copy.
I like the fact that this curriculum gets the students physically involved rather than merely reading. The book looks to be exactly what I'm looking for!
Thank you for the free chapters.
This book is so much more than geography. It incorporates science, Bible, character, geography, and maybe more(?). Please enter me in the drawing.
I love that it is so Charlotte Mason friendly. It looks great and I'd love to win a copy to use with my kids.

This is such a beautiful book. I downloaded the sample chapters some time back to use them with my children - thinking I would be able to buy the book before the chapters ran out. Sadly though, so did my money! Maybe I'll be able to buy it during the sale - or maybe I'll be the lucky winner. Either way, I know that it is definitely a book I want to share with my family because of the unique way it makes geography come alive and introduces the people and places of the world through God's eyes.
God Bless & Happy Mother's Day!

We tried this book when it was only an e-book. My computer crashed so we were never able to finish it. I would LOVE to have a hard copy of this book. It is an EXCELLENT "earth science" course as well as earth geography. Wonderfully done.
I decided this week to do Geography next year with my kids and began searching for curriculum. I love curriculum with activities that reinforce the lesson and provide a fun project for the entire family. I'm definitely interested in this one.
I took a look at the free download and I love it! The book really fits in with the content and style we using to teach our children. It is so refreshing and wonderful to see a teaching tool like this with a God-centered persective. Thank you so much for hosting this contest!

Whenever I mention the word 'geography,' my children moan. My attempts to expose them to the subject have not been successful in rousing their interests. This is not like the dry, dull text books we've used before. Nor is it like the 'fluffy' books we've gotten from the library. It is substantial. I believe we would all enjoy using this curriculum.
This geography program is what I have been looking for. I thought geography was just maps and longitude and latitude - yuk!! Therefore, I have avoided this subject, knowing that I would have to do it.....later. This program is fun, interesting, and it's not grade specific so both of my children can do this together. I love it!!
I would love to win a copy of A Child's Geography. I've used Jeanine Bright's science book from Apologia and loved them. This looks very similar. Also liked the one on the Holy Land.

I have had my eye on Child's Geography for awhile. It looks very kid friendly and enjoyable.
This Geography course looks great. My kids really enjoy the read-and-make a scrapbook or lapbook method of learning. I plan to cover world geography with 3 kids of various ages next year, and would love to have this resource.
A geography book that reads like a story! I love that I can use it with both my olders and littles *at the same time*, and two days per week is so doable!
Thanks for the chance to win a copy.

Looks like a wonderful resource. Thank you for your generosity in giving away a few copies.
This looks simple and fun and teachable - totally!
looks like a great book!
It sounds great. I have the suggested grade level children to do this study. I am most impressed with the "do " part. I am always looking for ways to incorporate love thy neighbor in my geography studies. You have already done this for me. I am really excited about maybe winning a copy. Thanks, Mayra

Hoping to win one of these, crossing fingers.... :o)
Your book looks like a great way to introduce my child to geography. Thank you for a chance to win a copy.

I've read through the first 3 chapters and just love it! It reads a lot like Jeannie Fulbright's science books, which my children beg to listen to. I love the Charlotte Mason approach used in the book, with the narrative style, the opportunity for narrations, and the outdoor excursions. And the Christian worldview is the icing on the cake!
This looks like a perfect fit for our AO curiculum. I love how it incoporates some of CM's methods right in the text. Looking forward to seeing more vols in the future. Would enjoy winning this as we are new to homeschooling and as a military family need to find things as economical as possible.

I have always been impressed with Knowledge Quest products and A Child's Geography is no different. The sample chapters are amazing and fit perfectly with our style of homeschooling.
This looks great. I like the way the author speaks directly to the child. Also I appreciate the section about being aware of those around us and the prompt to pray for them and their needs. Thanks for a chance to win a copy.

A Child's Geography Vol. 1: After previewing Chapter 1, I knew this would be an excellent resource. Done in the same classical method and format as some of the Well Trained Mind books, moms will be able to pick this up and run with it! The definite Christian worldview built into the activities and stories will set moms at ease with the material as they teach. What a treasure. The only regret is that I didn't know about this curriculum jewel sooner!
The samples look great. I've been looking at A Child's Geography for awhile now & am likely to use it next year w/ my 3rd & 6th graders.
Thanks for the contest. :-)

We are at our homeschool convention and I have been trying to find a great curriculum. I never thought it would be at the hotel on the computer. This is exactly what I was looking for. Even to use both books together or separate. It is simple and enjoyable to read. Thanks for sending out the email!!

I liked the sample of A Child's Geography. What are the highest grade levels that you would suggest to use this with?

amazing. i can see an immediate connection between the author and my boys. can twait to grab a blanket and hop on the couch with them on either side and the book in between!
How fun this book looks! I greatly enjoyed sharing Apologia's Astronomy books with my three youngest boys this past year, and with their childhoods slipping so quickly away, I'd love to use this geography program together next year. They won't be "little" enough to learn about God's world together much longer!

My wife and I were blessed and encouraged by two of your workshops at the Christian Heritage conference a few weeks ago. Thank you for all you do! We are new to homeschooling and out of our 4 kids (with another on the way) we currently have a kindergartner and a 4th grader.
While I don't feel as qualified as the others here to review the book, I thought that the format was very appealing. The writing was captivating, and while I only planned to skim for a shot at receiving the book for free, I found myself unable to stop reading until I had finished reading all three segments! (Who new what the thermospere and ionosphere did?...amazing!) The experiments look very fun and relevant as well. I think this will be an easy addition to our growing list of picks for next year.

A Child's Geography is beautifully written and well thought out. I love the fact that it has a section about giving to others with what you
have learned. I would love to win a copy.

I love geography especially because I love teasing people about it! I am from a poorly known, third world country in Europe. I won V II of a Child's Geo Explore the Holy land from TOS mag a few issues ago. I love it! My husband was hoping to get a job in Israel and I was so excited to learn with the kids about this country! I know this new giveaway volume will not disappoint us! you can contact me via my blog first (then auxiliary em natamama7@gmail.com)
Looks great! Thank you for offering the contest.

It looks like an imaginative and inspiring way to learn geography. We have spent the last few years concentrating on History. It is time for geography to take centre stage.
This looks very interesting! I would love to give it a try!!!
